In Living by the sea, one cannot help but become a collector. When walking my pups along the shore I often come across interesting pieces of tangled driftwood, random lobster claws and crab shells dropped by the gulls and the odd weathered buoy or two. I find these buoys so interesting and wonder about the story they hold. From the shore, I enjoy watching the buoys dip and bob on the water and this was my inspiration for creating these earrings.
Made with .925 Sterling Silver, the buoy earrings measure 2 cm X 4 cm and are designed to dip and bob with your movements, much like a buoy.
Designed, shaped, soldered, hammered, polished and packaged by hand in my little seaside studio near Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia.
